Living in Texas

Texas in some ways really is larger than life. There are so many things for nurses to enjoy indoors and out. In fact, there seems to be something for everyone in this big bluebonnet covered state.  There are many museums and galleries to tour including The Briscoe Art & Antique Collection, The Houston Museum District, Contemporary Art Museum, The Menil Collection and The Dallas Museum of Art. Texas has a lively and eclectic music scene and Austin, the capital, is the self-proclaimed live music capital of the world!

There are also over 600 miles of gulf beaches to enjoy, where anglers can catch a wide variety of fish including flounder, redfish and speckled trout, to name a few. Among other famous attractions are The Hill Country, the 6th Floor Museum, where JFK was assassinated, The Johnson Space Museum, The Alamo, and The Houston Rodeo. Open air undertakings also include boating, camping, golfing, sailing, kite surfing, rafting, swimming, fishing and deer hunting.
